CLEANSING THE PALETTE

As an illustrator, designer, painter & photographer, the realism in my work reflects an attention to the inner and outer details and ‘beingness’ of nature, architecture and the human form.

An artist since earliest memory, I am also a musician, graphic designer, poet & photographer. I offer both original works of art, & affordable, archival-quality reproductions of said original artworks.

A 20 year resident & alumnus of the Piano Factory artist’s colony, and MassArt graduate, I live and work in Boston and have exhibited both in MA and NH. The realism in my work reflects an attention to the inner and outer details of nature, architecture, and the human form. My love of landscapes stems from my upbringing as the son of a forester and an environmentalist. My portraiture, and all of my creative works aim at reflecting the broader view of the ‘Self’ rather than merely its vehicle, the physical form. The Ageless Wisdom Teachings serve as my inspiration.

In general, I specialize in Portraiture, Landscapes & Architectural Renderings—including private homes. However, I can render just about anything. My mediums choices are broad. Among them are: pencil, charcoal, print-making, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, & oil.

“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
ANSEL ADAMS

“You have to see everything – your own thoughts and responses, the lizard on the wall, the colour of peoples’ clothing, the expressions on their faces, how they sit, how they yawn, how they talk. You have to observe the poor walking on the road, and the big politicians wading in their evil power. If you begin to see all this very clearly, you will find out for yourself whether or not is beyond time.”

J Krishnamurti
“There is only you and your camera. The limitations in your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are.”
ERNST HASS
